With expertise in CBT, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapies, Naz empowers clients to overcome their struggles and thrive.
Specializing in working with individuals on the autism spectrum, people of color, and student-athletes, Naz creates a safe, trusting environment for individual, group, and crisis management counseling. His priority is building strong therapeutic bonds, helping clients feel supported throughout their healing journey.
With a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and psychology from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in social work from GVSU, Naz completed his doctorate in 2023 at the University of Kentucky. He is also a therapist at Purdue University Counseling Center and has spent five impactful years as a mental health therapist at St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
Outside of his clinical work, Naz enjoys pickup basketball, weightlifting, and yoga, while recently exploring golf and fishing. He's also a fan of books and comics, though he’s known to leave some half-read! You’ll often find him unwinding with comedies on Netflix, Disney+, or Hulu. 🏀💪🎓🎣📚

With extensive experience managing social media, email marketing, SEO, and sales, Spencer’s marketing expertise is a valuable asset to our team. But what truly sets Spencer apart is his remarkable personal story. While pursuing his marketing degree at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Spencer met Naz, who introduced him to the world of mental health and welcomed him into her family. Now, Spencer is an important part of the team, helping Different Spectrums grow while also gaining three amazing new family members.
Spencer’s upbeat and personable nature is contagious. When he's not working on marketing campaigns, managing merchandise, or co-hosting the podcast, you can find him enjoying life—whether it’s playing basketball, gaming, or attending Timberwolves games with his friends and girlfriend. A huge movie and TV show buff, Spencer also has an impressive collection of over 90 pairs of shoes!
